What it takes to be an Elite Agent

Real Estate Agents are broadly perceived to earn too much money for doing very little, our Industry's Elite Agents however would strongly disagree, and rightly so.

So what does it take to have the latest Euro Car, designer clothes and a mansion on the river or coast? Absolute dedication, super focus and sacrifice. Just like any other profession on this planet, to be at the top of your Industry requires tremendous sacrifice and dedication of your time to the one singular purpose of becoming the best.

Sometimes you won't see your family or your friends for weeks on end...7 days a week, 18 hour days, running offers, training and professional development, showing property, appraising property, following up contract terms etc etc. You live in your car, in the office, at clients homes, you can't remember what your home even looks like and McDonalds becomes your new best friend.

People reading this will think to themselves that this is an exageration, it isn't. They will also think 'those agents have assistants to do all that stuff' Yes, they do now but for years they did it all themselves...sacrifice.

So why do most people look at them with a view they don't deserve what they have? That they are overpaid?  Would we think that about the very best surgeon? Do we not think that they also sacrificed in order to be the very best in the medical field? Studied and practiced and honed their skills more than any other surgeon to become the best?

The reason they became highly successful is the same reason they remain highly successful, a relentless pursuit of ensuring they are the most skilled, the most focused and will not stop until the best result is achieved for their client. That is why they have what they have, anyone who questions this should see if they have the determination and staying power that is required before they comment.

They earned the right to have the things they desired, they paid the price that any Industry Elite Performers do, to be the best is simply damn hard work.
